Packaging code
The following table shows the codes to be used to designate the types of packaging depending on the type of packaging, the material used for manufacture and the category; reference is also made to subsections in which the relevant regulations can be found:
Labeling:
The marking on the packaging indicates that it conforms to a successfully tested design and meets the requirements of this chapter, insofar as these relate to the manufacture and not to the use of the packaging. Consequently, the marking does not necessarily indicate that the packaging may be used for any substance: the type of packaging, the maximum capacity and/or the maximum mass of the packaging and any special provisions are specified for each substance in Chapter 3.2 Table A (ADR).
